Program Overview

The Associate in Science (AS), Computer Information Technology/Computer Science degree
provides training for students who wish to specialize in computer science and IT management.
Students will learn key concepts, vocabulary, and processes fundamental to CIS management
and IT support.

Upon successful program completion, the graduate will be able to:

  • Write programs in a variety of programming languages and computing environments.
  • Analyze a problem, and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to
    its solution.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate a software solution to meet required specifications;
    applying mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, and computer science
    theory.
